The Charleville Vet Surgery has been operating since 1996, and we are excited to announce that we have now merged with Terri Eckel Veterinary in 2021 and are now one team offering greater service.
Our mission at Charleville Vet surgery is to offer the highest quality of veterinary care available. We strive to treat your pets with compassion and respect. Along with our highly trained team, we have access to a range of instruments including in-house blood analysis machines, microscopes, a digital x-ray machine, an ultrasonic dental scaler and polisher, a digital dental x-ray machine, comprehensive anaesthetic monitoring devices, blood pressure machines and so much more!
As well as the many veterinary services offered there is also a dog boarding kennel & a Cattery for cat boarding available onsite offering affordable quality care for your cherished pets when you need someone else to care for their needs.
The team at Charleville Vet Surgery is all passionate about the care and welfare of animals and will endeavor to help you and your animal friends. We look forward to providing you, and your pet, with great advice and top-quality medical care.
Traveling Pets make up a large proportion of our patient numbers each year, and we are always pleased to extend our vet services to people visiting the South West.
We conduct regular clinics in outlying towns and hope to expand this service as we continue to grow.

Meet The Team
Dr. Terri Eckel
BUSINESS OWNER
VETERINARIAN
Terri is the co-owner and veterinarian of Charleville Vet Surgery. Terri is a local girl having grown up in Charleville. She loves her job and thinks it is one of the best professions in the world. Terri completed her veterinary studies at the University of Queensland in 2010. After graduating she worked in Bathurst but the call of the west had her return to her home town to provide excellent veterinary services to the lovely people of Charleville. Terri’s special veterinary interests include, but are not limited to, equine dentistry and small animal surgeries. Terri’s new little baby girl, Isla and her fur babies include Jimmy Choo, the hospital patient tormenting cat, and Dolly, the adorable Jack Russell.
Dr. Courtney Scott
BUSINESS OWNER
VETERINARIAN
Courtney is co-owner and veterinarian of Charleville Vet Surgery.
Courtney has always been a local of the area due to growing up on a cattle station near Windorah and completing primary school through the Charleville School of Distance Education.
Since graduating from James Cook University in 2017, Courtney has worked mostly in mixed practice including locuming across the country.
Courtney loves all aspects of veterinary practice, but her special interests are small animal surgery, and horse and cattle reproduction. Courtney was even lucky enough to travel to the USA to learn at a specialist equine hospital in her final year of uni!
In her time off she loves competing on her horses, looking after her little mob of cattle, keeping fit and hanging out with her naughty Jack Russell, Reggie!
Dr. Emma Young
VETERINARIAN
Dr Emma is our newest member to our Veterinary team, she commenced with us in February and she has fitted into our team perfectly.
She us such a positive influence on our team, with a bubbly personality and always willing to give everything a go.
She is fur mum to her newest little Kitten KitKat, whom she adopted from the clinic only after 2 months of working with us.
She loves all animals, and you will often see her zipping around town on her road bike.
Meagan Dempster
RECEPTIONIST
Meagan, is a key member of our Reception team. She brings with
her a wealth of knowledge and experience in customer service.
She has a bubbly personality and a can-do attitude, always lending a hand and willing to give everything a go.
She is the friendly voice when you call the clinic, who will always try her hardest to help you and your animal companion.
Chanelle Casey
VET NURSE
Channelle has recently joined the CVS team in late November. Channelle is an experienced Vet Nurse with a surmountable amount of clinical experience in veterinary nursing and has also completed her Certificate 3 in Vet Nursing.
Channelle is an asset to our team bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Channelle and her partner have recently moved to the area, bringing with her a tribe of family pets including, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 horse, and 1 goat.
Chelsea Reid
VET NURSE
Chelsea joined our team at the end of 2021. Chelsea has completed her Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing and is already looking forward to progressing through her Certificate IV. She is currently studying Certificate II in Vet Nursing.
Chelsea is a go-getter with a can-do attitude, she chips in everywhere she can, she is a quick learner, has a bubbly personality, and is a great addition to our team.
Maddison King
VET NURSE
Maddie started working with us as a school based trainee, and in 2023 took on a full time vet nursing role after graduating high school! Maddie loves her job because she loves working with animals. At CVS she is always learning something new and that makes her job exciting. Maddie was born in Charleville and has completed her schooling in Charleville. She loves living in outback Queensland, hanging with mates and riding horses!
